LESSONS

Studio A offers private and small group lessons for aspiring musicians of all ages and experience levels in Wickenburg.

Sessions are customized to support each student’s objectives, including vocal technique, rehearsal strategies, ear training, sight reading, skills & range development, performance critique and coaching, audition prep, choral music, and more at our music school.

  • What are lessons like?

    STUDIO-A offers a low pressure atmosphere with high musical standards, nurturing musical interest and curiosity. Most lessons include some technique development that can be applied to musical selections of interest to the student. For instrumentalists, this may include technique builders, scales, chords, strumming, tempo drills, etc. Singing lessons may include vocalization exercises, intervals work, ear training, and repertoire building.

  • How long are lessons?

    Depends. Most beginning guitarists find that a weekly 30 minute session is about right. Advanced players may appreciate having more time to go deeper into technique and musicality. The bottom line is: The more you play, the better you'll get and the more fun you'll have!

  • How much are lessons?

    Spring Session of 2025: $45 for 30min lesson, $55 for 45min, $65 for 60min. Ask about special pricing for purchasing multiple lessons or sharing lessons. 

  • When are lessons offered?

    Scheduling lessons is easy! Just login to the STUDIO-A Portal for view of available lesson slots. Then you can grab any open slot and/or cancel/reschedule at your convenience!

  • Do I have to have my own instrument?

    If you're a singer, yes! Otherwise, STUDIO-A is happy to offer a few loaner instruments to help you get started or make recommendations for purchasing an instrument that is appropriate for age and skill level.

The 2025 season will feature a series of showcase events to discover local talent, foster community, and contribute to making Wickenburg a destination for visitors. Our format combines elements from America's Got Talent and The Voice to create a supportive environment for participants.

Auditions 101 includes content from School of Rock, used with credit.
