The Mission  of Studio A

  • Harness the power of music as a form of expression, a tool for personal growth, and a means of contributing to and developing a sense of belonging in the community.

  • Help others better understand, appreciate, and nurture a love for music through education, entertainment, and/or worship arts

  • Encourage collaboration among performing arts lovers and organizations to provide opportunities for musicians of all ages and skill levels to participate in and enjoy music on a meaningful level

Believe it or not, I actually planned to go to college to study engineering! God closed that door however, and in no uncertain terms opened the door to pursue music and education at Northern Arizona University. I have had the amazing experience of performing in choirs, operas, oratorios, vocal jazz ensembles, in the chorus of the Phoenix Bach Choir's production of Handel's Messiah, and I even spent one amazing summer in Graz, Austria with the American Institute for Musical Studies.

My Journey

As I began to make my faith my own, I found that worship music was a key element of my ability to focus my thoughts, express my heart, and remember Biblical truths. I grew through Bible studies, youth group, Promise Keepers events, Maranatha Worship Conference, "God's Most Dangerous Band" with NAU Campus Crusade for Christ, and helped launch contemporary services at a Rancho Bernardo Community Presbyterian Church in San Diego, CA and 1st Presbyterian Church of Spokane, WA.
